Year 6 Residential - Day 4

Day 4 was another full one! Tawny group gorge walked and completed the scrambling challenge. A record number of children within the group completed the ‘trust fall’ and they thoroughly enjoyed splashing Mr Ahir. During the scrambling activity, their teamwork was fantastic, they ‘spotted’ for each other well and really considered how to reach the top in the most effective way as a team.

Peregrine group and Buzzard groups canoed and showed impressive progress in their teamwork and organisation to paddled up the canal as the activity developed. They loved floating on their backs in their life jackets at the end and enjoyed the moment of relaxation. They then tested their archery skills with successful aims, which were on target with a few bullseyes along the way. We have a few Robin Hoods in the making!

Finally, we finished the day with toasting marshmallows on the campfire and sharing our favourite moments from our week. We are looking forward to a visit to Llangollen to visit the local area (including the shops) in the morning to finish our time away!
