Admissions to our school

At our school we nurture aspiration, confidence, and a passion for learning. Our school provides the foundation for our learners to succeed in their studies and beyond, ensuring they are well-prepared for the future.  

Admissions to our school are managed by the City of Wolverhampton Council on behalf of the trust.  If applications exceed the number of available places, we apply our published oversubscription criteria, which you will find in our Admissions Policies HERE    

How to Apply 

Applications must be submitted through the City of Wolverhampton Council via their online admissions portal: Apply for a Secondary / Primary School Place  

 

In-year Admissions 

We understand that learners may need to move schools outside of the usual admission cycle. 

  • You can apply for a place at any time during the school year. 

  • If spaces are available, your child will be offered a place as soon as possible. 

 

Admissions Appeals 

What if Your Child is Not Offered a Place? 

We know how important this decision is, and if your child is not allocated a place, you have the right to appeal. 

  • The appeals process follows the City of Wolverhampton Council’s admissions appeal schedule, ensuring a fair and transparent approach.

Admissions to the Specialist Inclusion Base (SIB)

Places within the Specialist Inclusion Base (SIB) are commissioned by the Local Authority through the formal Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) consultation process. The SIB is designed for pupils who have an EHCP and an identified primary need relating to Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Places are limited to 38 for the academic year of 2026 to 2027.

Springdale Primary School is not responsible for allocating places within the SIB. Attendance at Springdale's mainstream provision does not give pupils priority or preference for a place. All placements are determined and allocated by the Local Authority following the completion of the statutory consultation process as part of the EHCP procedures. For more information contact SENSTART.
