Springdale’s Outstanding Sporting Success!

On Thursday 10th July, Springdale had an overwhelmingly successful time at the WASPS presentation at the Grand Station, leaving with a huge amount of silverware for our trophy cabinet. Not only did our fantastic sporting superstars collect their winning trophies for competitions they have won over the past academic year, including cricket, football and swimming, but as a school we also were recognised for our hard work and dedication to ensuring all children at Springdale can participate in sport and improve their physical, emotional and social well-being. Out of all the schools across Wolverhampton, we were selected to receive the ‘Active School of the Year’ award and the ‘Inclusion’ award. They are currently proudly displayed in our entrance hall.

It was a fantastic night celebrating the achievements of our children and staff, along with parents, following a very successful year competing in over 40 sporting events and raising the profile of sport across the school. A special shout-out to Miss Bourton for her hard work and dedication as Sport Coach this year!
